Strategic DiagnosticWhere are your performance levers?

You leave with a roadmap ranked by return on investment: where your value lies, what it is worth and where to begin. Every figure is calculated on your own data.

Who it is for

For chief executives who want to know where to act first.

What you receive

Your baseline performance, the sources of value quantified in euros, and the order in which to address them.

Duration

Two to three weeks if your data is ready; four to six if not.

Deliverables

Diagnostic report, value register, roadmap and a presentation to the leadership team.

The questions we resolve

Where are we losing margin, and how much?

Which growth levers are realistic with our resources?

Can AI pay its way here, and where?

Where should we start, and what should we not fund?

How the diagnostic works

  1. Establishing the starting point. Profit and loss by business line, margins by product, customer and channel, costs and working capital requirement: your baseline economic performance.
  2. Listening. Eight to fifteen interviews, from the leadership team to the front line, using a guide specific to each function.
  3. Quantifying the sources of value. Each lever is quantified on your data: baseline, gross gain, the share that can realistically be captured, full cost and risk. AI is treated as one lever among others and judged on the same basis.
  4. Prioritising. A roadmap ranked by return on investment, covering the first 90 days and a three- to five-year trajectory. It always includes at least one option not to invest.
  5. Presenting and deciding. A presentation to the leadership team or the board. Support with implementation is offered afterwards, only if you ask for it.

What you receive

Diagnostic report

Your baseline profit and loss account, the losses and the opportunities, with the evidence and the uncertainties for each.

Value register

One line per workstream: gain, full cost, risk, owner. A working document your finance team can take forward.

Roadmap

The workstreams in sequence, the first 90 days and the trajectory.

Presentation

A decision meeting with the leadership team or the board.

What we do not do

  • No eighty-page report: one decision, with the figures.
  • No market averages in place of your own figures: everything is calculated on your data.
  • No obligation to continue: the engagement is complete in itself.

Why now

A Bpifrance Le Lab survey of 1,209 leaders of owner-managed and mid-sized businesses, published in June 2025, found that 43% do not analyse their data to manage their business. The sources of value are often already within the company. They simply have to be measured.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take?

Two to three weeks when your data is available, four to six when it has to be gathered. Fees are agreed at the outset of each engagement.

What do you need from us?

Your accounts and management information, for two years if possible, one person to gather them, and a few hours of your teams’ time for interviews. Everything remains confidential.

How does this differ from the work of our accountants?

Your accountants sign off and analyse your accounts. We look for the value you are not yet capturing, quantify it and tell you where to begin.

Are we obliged to engage you for implementation?

No. The diagnostic is complete in itself. Support with implementation is offered only if you ask for it.

Do you know where your next point of margin will come from?

We reply in writing within 48 working hours.
